Shane Bieber is running it back with the Blue Jays. Faced with the chance to test free agency, the former Cy Young winner is returning to Toronto on his $16 million player option, according to multiple reports.

Per MLB Network's Jon Heyman, Bieber has exercised his $16 million option for next season. Bieber started the 2025 campaign with the Cleveland Guardians after signing a two-year, $26 million contract in December 2024. The 30-year-old was rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and spent the first four months of the season on the injured list.
