Quinnen Williams was traded to the Dallas Cowboys, bringing back a first-round pick in 2027, a second-round pick in 2026, and defensive tackle Mazi Smith, a young player with upside in the trenches. The acquisition of John Metchie III, a wide receiver, also adds depth to the Jets' offense as they look toward future drafts to build a new core.

The team has accumulated significant draft capital to address its long-standing quarterback issues and reconstruct the roster. The New York Jets were incredibly busy in the hours leading up to the NFL's trade deadline on Tuesday afternoon. As a result, the Jets will also be considerably busier in the early portions of the next two NFL drafts.
Taylor reports Kansas City was willing to trade a 2026 fourth-round pick for Hall, but New York wanted a third-round selection. While Hall was willing to be moved after the trades of cornerback Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams, the Chiefs and Jets could not come to an agreement, so Hall stayed put.
Pro Bowl Defensive tackle Quinnen Williams also made an exit, joining the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for former first-round defensive tackle Mazi Smith, as well as a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick. Unfortunately for Hall, he remains on the Jets roster.
