At 6–2, the USC Trojans remain alive in the College Football Playoff race — but a November gauntlet featuring the Iowa Hawkeyes and Oregon Ducks will determine if they can sneak into the 12-team field.

USC vs. Iowa will be an early game, with kickoff at 12:30 p.m. Pacific time. The game will be televised by either CBS or Big Ten Network, with that to be announced following this week's games.

The Class of 2027 is even more impressive. It’s early, but Texas Tech landed a commitment this week from five-star Kavian Bryant, the nation’s No. 28 prospect and No. 2 quarterback. The Red Raiders also have a 2027 commitment from five-star athlete Jalen Brewster, who, like Bryant, is a Texas native.

Last week, USC came in at No. 23 in the college football AP Poll. After taking down Nebraska on the road Saturday night, the Trojans rose three spots, and are now ranked No. 20.
