The cargo ship that rammed into Baltimore's Key Bridge shortly after experiencing two blackouts initially lost power due to an improperly installed wire, the NTSB found.

Officials have come to a conclusion about what caused a cargo ship to strike Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge, which then collapsed, killing six construction workers.

The board approved the findings and a set of recommendations to prevent similar tragedies during a hearing in Washington.
