A 10-yard scramble from quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer brought Penn State to a 1st-and-goal from the Michigan State 9-yard line. Three plays later, an end-around reverse for wide receiver Devonte Ross (which was actually counted as a pass) brought the Nittany Lions into the end zone and gave them a two-score lead.
