Japanese tire manufacturers Toyo and Nitto have announced a major recall of 36,000 tires that have been declared dangerous.

The Nitto Terra Grappler G2 is part of the Tire test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, Tire models like the Terra Grappler G2 are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Though the recall includes 36,919 tires, Toyo estimates that only 1% of those tires are affected by the defect.
