New Jets DT Mazi Smith will get opportunity to revive his career
General maanger Darren Mougey is rebuilding from the ground up. That's undeniably the motivation behind trading cornerback Sauce Gardner and Williams for a combined three first-round picks. With the Jets spending the rest of the 2025 season sorting through their roster, Smith should receive a sizable opportunity to play.
Pro Bowl Defensive tackle Quinnen Williams also made an exit, joining the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for former first-round defensive tackle Mazi Smith, as well as a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick. Unfortunately for Hall, he remains on the Jets roster.
