An investigation has been launched after a weeks-old dead body was found Saturday near the train tracks running through Covesville in southwestern Albemarle County.

The body of a 38-year-old woman was discovered Wednesday in an irrigation ditch several blocks from Franklin Park, according to Missoula police.
