The Nittany Lions celebrated their senior night with a beatdown of the Cornhuskers.
While Kaytron Allen assumed his place atop the program’s all-time rushing leaderboard, Penn State football kept its bowl prospects afloat with a 37-10 rout of the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night.
Freshman QB TJ Lateef suffered his first loss as a starter in his college career. Lateef completed 21 of 37 passes for 187 yards. He scored the only touchdown of the night for Nebraska on an 11-yard carry with 55 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Allen finished with 160 yards on 25 carries, his contribution to the 231 Penn State recored on the evening. With the clock being eaten by Penn State’s attack, they carried the ball “only” 39 times but redshirt freshman QB Ethan Grunkmeyer threw it only 12 – and completed 11 for 181 yards and a score.
