Before the baseball world shifts its focus to the offseason, let's slap a bow on a memorable 2025 campaign by selecting the MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year for every MLB team.
The Astros ace is a top-three finalist for the AL Cy Young award in his third full season, his final year before arbitration. This nod for Brown is huge, as it will give the Astros a draft pick in the upcoming 2026 MLB draft.
The MLB season is officially over and while the playoff teams highlighted the offseason it is now time for the player accolades.
The winner will be announced on Nov. 12. Skubal, a unanimous selection last year by the 30 voting members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America, is favored to win again. He would be the first back-to-back AL Cy Young Award winner since Pedro Martínez in 1999-2000, and the first Tiger to do so since Denny McLain in 1968-69.
