A significant flood threat is taking shape in some of the same areas of Texas Hill Country devastated by July floods as storms crawl across the South.

On Thursday at 9:50 p.m. a flash flood warning was issued by the NWS Hanford CA in effect until 11:45 p.m. for Kern County.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Huntington Beach, Westminster, Midway City and the surrounding area as the latest storm passes through Southern California.

Portions of South-Central Texas—including areas such as Austin and San Antonio—will be placed under a flood watch.

The NWS Phoenix AZ released a flood watch at 12:12 p.m. on Thursday valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 11 p.m. The watch is for Joshua Tree, Joshua Treek, Imperial County Southwest, Salton Sea, Chuckwalla Mountains,

Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties were placed under an updated flood advisory by the National Weather Service on Friday at 1:39 a.m. The advisory is in effect until 3:38 a.m.
