Flood threat for soaked Dallas and Texas Hill Country persists overnight as storms keep firing
A significant flood threat is taking shape in some of the same areas of Texas Hill Country devastated by July floods as storms crawl across the South.
On Thursday at 9:50 p.m. a flash flood warning was issued by the NWS Hanford CA in effect until 11:45 p.m. for Kern County.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Huntington Beach, Westminster, Midway City and the surrounding area as the latest storm passes through Southern California.
Portions of South-Central Texas—including areas such as Austin and San Antonio—will be placed under a flood watch.

Dallas weather: Flood Watch in effect, high water threat
Widespread rain will continue later Thursday and through the evening. Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall will result in an increasing threat for flash flooding across the watch area through Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service. Most of the area will receive 1 to 2 inches, though isolated totals up to 4 inches will be possible.
