Both Florida State men's and women's basketball gave a first look at the 2025 Seminoles in the Ballin in Boutwell exhibition games against Alabama.

Florida State finished last season with a 24-9 (13-5 ACC) record. The Seminoles earned a six seed in the NCAA Tournament. FSU beat George Mason to reach the second round before falling to third-seeded LSU.

The Tallahassee showdown belonged to Loucks' and FSU, as it dominated the Rattlers 88-54 on Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Donald L. Tucker Center. The crowd of 5,527 people represented either the Garnet and Gold or the Orange and Green. Both sets of fans got the chance to see a sneak preview of the 2025 season outlook for the programs.

Basketball fans for both Florida State and Florida A&M universities filled Tallahassee's Donald L. Tucker Civic Center on Sunday. Before the game, onlookers paid tribute to former FSU player and current FAMU coach, Charlie Ward.

The Seminoles, head coached by Brooke Wyckoff, completed last season with a record of 24-9, going 13-5 in the ACC. Florida State went 13-3 at home, 7-4 on the road and 4-2 on neutral courts. FSU earned wins against Florida A&M, Samford University, North Carolina Central, Florida, Texas Tech, Missouri State and more.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida State women’s basketball took an 84-63 win over the Tampa Spartans in the final exhibition game of the preseason for the Seminoles. Across town at the Lawson Center, Valdosta State upset Florida A&M, 81-64.

Robert McCray broke a program record with 17 assists as Luke Loucks started his FSU basketball coaching career with a win over Alcorn State.
