Pakistan fast bowler Rauf banned for 2 matches for violating ICC code of conduct in Asia Cup
The ICC on Tuesday banned Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf for two matches for violating its code of conduct during Twenty20 games against India in the Asia Cup. The ban means Rauf will be eligible only for the third game of the ODI series against South Africa at Faisalabad on Saturday.
Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has received a two-match suspension for breaching the ICC's code of conduct during matches against India at the Asia Cup in September, the governing body said on Tuesday.
There will be little rest for the weary as Pakistan and south Africa play the 3rd T20I match on Saturday just 24 hours after taking part in the second match of the series on Friday. The 3-match series is currently tied 1-1 with Pakistan winning the 2nd match and South Africa winning the first encounter.
Shaheen Shah Afridi's Pakistan team will look to build on the T20I success and aim to start the three-match one-day series against South Africa at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Tuesday on a winning note.
The hosts will look to bounce back after a disappointing outing in the opening game, where a second-string South African side outplayed them in all departments to claim a convincing 55-run win.

Asia Cup fiasco: ICC hands two-match ban to Haris Rauf, fines Suryakumar Yadav in major crackdown
Haris Rauf received a two-match ban and a 30% fine for inappropriate gestures during the Asia Cup along with four demerit points. The pacer will miss the ODI series against South Africa.
On paper, this should have been Shaheen Afridi’s night. New role, home crowd, first men’s international in Faisalabad in 17 years, and South Africa turning up severely under strength. Instead, his first outing as Pakistan’s ODI captain began with a strangely muted performance with the new ball and a supporting role in a bowling effort driven by others.
