Flight delays and cancellations are piling up Sunday across the U.S. after the Federal Aviation Administration cut flights at 40 U.S. airports on Friday following a monthlong government shutdown.
As of 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, more than 10,000 flights within, into, or out of the United States had been delayed, according to FlightAware.
As the spending bill passed, the logjam in Senate has ended, and the bill now proceeds to the House of Representatives for approval before being sent to President Trump for his signature.
