Bruins, Maple Leafs and Fraser Minten

Minten scored a huge insurance goal at the 16:58 mark of the third period to help the Bruins extend their winning streak to six games. It was also extra sweet for Minten, as the Maple Leafs, of course, traded him to Boston at the 2025 NHL trade deadline in the deal that sent Brandon Carlo to Toronto.
The joy on the Bruins rookie’s face was apparent. Fraser Minten dumped the puck deep into the Toronto end from the right wing boards with just over three minutes to go. When Mark Kastelic won a puck battle to retrieve it, Minten went toward the net.
Fraser had been to Boston once before getting traded to the Bruins from Toronto in March, and it was with his grandparents. Glenda grew up in the Maritimes in Canada, so they visited the province before going down the East Coast, starting in Maine and ending in Boston, he said.
Fraser Minten's goal at 2:12 of overtime lifted the Boston Bruins to a 4-3 win over the visiting Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night.
