At the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the Soyuz MS-28 prime and backup crews have wrapped up their final training ahead of the November 27, 2025 launch to the International Space Station. NASA astronaut Chris Williams and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikayev are gearing up for an eight-month mission aboard the ISS. Their preparation from Nov. 11–21 included simulations, safety drills, suit checks, and the rollout of the Soyuz 2.1a rocket to the launch pad on Nov. 24.
