Puccini’s Tosca, based on Sardou’s 1887 play La Tosca, is set in Rome in June 1800. A romantic and dramatic score, it tells a tale of love, jealousy, and betrayal as Floria Tosca struggles to save her lover from the ruthless police chief Scarpia.
