The acme threading is turning out flawless👌🏻 This is how a lathe is suppose to thread. Perfectly aligned each and every pass. No follower rest needed for this shaft. The sides of the threads look just a nice as the grind on the carbide insert, almost like it’s a ground thread. Modifying the stock USA Hardtail vise nut to adapt my 1-1/4” Acme nut. I’ll use retaining compound plus machine for a pin to secure the two together.
