Chuck Jones directed a number of outer space-themed cartoons during the 1950's, mostly in collaboration with Maurice Noble. The best known is "Duck Dodgers in the 24-1/2 Century"(1953). This 1956 short, "Rocket Squad", took several ideas from "Dodgers" and explored them further, casting Daffy Duck and Porky Pig as space-age detectives ala "Dragnet".
