All the details here 👇Building a custom mantel doesn't have to be complicated! Here's how I made mine using (2) 2x8s and (1) 2x6 from @homedepot: 1. Cut the boards: I beveled one edge of each 2x8 at 45° and both edges of the 2x6. Then, I cut them all to 72" with beveled ends.
