This bugle call is for The Wiltshire Regiment (Duke of Edinburgh’s) TA. Formed in 1881, it merged The 62nd (Wiltshire) Regiment and The 99th Duke of Edinburgh’s (Lanarkshire) Regiment. The 62nd became the 1st Battalion and the 99th became The 2nd Battalion. The 1st Battalion was based in England and Ireland while The 2nd Battalion was based in India.
