When designing the Y-String we wanted to make the most comfortable string underwear so we made the gusset wider to prevent slips/front wedges and put a Y-shape fabric design in the back to prevent and string chafing or irritation- the string only starts near your tailbone to keep that minimal line look. When creating the Y-String we wanted to make the most comfortable string underwear…We made the gusset wider to prevent slips/front wedges and put a Y-shape fabric design in the back to prevent and string chafing or irritation- the string only starts near your tailbone to keep that minimal line look. We worked on the this Y-String design for over 6 months and the tag was something that was important. We wanted minimal lines, minimal tag, but maximum comfort, so we made the gusset wider than the average (4in wide) to prevent slips, put a screen printed tag on the front, and a Y-shape fabric design to cover “back door” - while still maintaining the minimal lines all around.
