While not truly "free-motion" since the feed dogs don't drop, you are in charge of moving your fabric in the desired direction to create your design. Did you know that the chain stitch that makes up part of the coverstitch will unravel from the end so needs to be knotted by hand? Follow these tips to secure your stitching: ✂️ When you end your stitch, make sure the needle is raised completely. ✂️ Lift the presser foot to release the tension and bring the needle threads forward (we like to use tweezers to grab onto them). ✂️ Snip the threads, then pull to the back to snip the bottom thread. ✂️ Tie all three threads into a knot (we usually tie
