Rangers are the first, and sometimes only, line of defense between poachers and the world’s most iconic species. Many of these brave women and men not only work in dangerous and harsh conditions, they often do so with low pay, little or no support and inadequate equipment. Lots of rangers spend weeks away from their loved ones and some don’t have access to electricity or clean drinking water whilst on patrol.
