People’s Republic of China has continued its dominance of women’s team table tennis after winning its fourth gold medal in four consecutive Olympics. Led by Cheng Meng, who won gold in women’s singles, the team, which includes double world champions WANG Manyu and SUN Yingsha, overpowered Japan 3-0 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
