On December 27, 1995 WCW’s 13th annual Starrcade took place at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Billed as “Starrcade '95: World Cup of Wrestling” the event included a seven match tournament between wrestlers representing WCW and their Japanese partner New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). WCW won the tournament 4 points to 3. At the event Ric Flair also defeated Lex Luger and Sting by count-out in a Triangle match to earn an immediate title match against WCW World Heavyweigh

32 years ago today, Starrcade 1993: The 10th Anniversary! Live from Charlotte, North Carolina, the home of the Nature Boy and the scene of one of WCW’s most emotional main events. A full decade after defeating Harley Race for the NWA Title, Ric Flair did it again, this time beating Vader (managed by Race) to win the WCW World Championship!
