The Step DOWN might help your knees better than the traditional Step Up! That’s because the focus isn’t on going up, it’s on lowering down with as much control as possible! It’s this focus on the eccentric (the lowering phase) which really helps your body learn how to properly use your glutes in conjunction with your quads!
