The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has hinted at the likelihood of a tariff reduction soon as heavy rains had been experienced in the catchment areas over the past several days. Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) spokesman Noel Priyantha said that the proposal to revise the tariffs will be submitted to the PUCSL. Asked if a significant reduction can be expected in the revised tariffs, the CEB said they hope the reduction will be at least 50 percent of the amount increased during the last revision. |
