Spotted in the Parkland, the Violet Ground Beetle is one of the largest ground beetles in the UK. Commonly found in gardens, farmland and meadows, usually between March and October. They are predominantly black with a metallic purple sheen. Their wings are in fact fused so they can’t fly but they can run very quickly! | Tatton Park
