This is my sneaky way of interrupting a toddler tantrum when they are around 16 to 18 months old. I do not recommend this all the time however if a tantrum has gone on for a long time and it’s a very young toddler this would be my approach from my experience. I would be nearby (not looking at them or inviting them over) and would start reading their favorite book out loud.
