Parallel play sounds like it's something naughty but it's actually a term used to describe when kids are playing side-by-side but not interacting. It's something that a lot of neurodivergent adults (myself included) get a lot of fulfillment from! As someone who spends a lot of time connecting to people online, it has been very healing for me to be able to spend some time in parallel play with members of my local community. I'm really good at making friends at festivals, but figuring out social r
